British Food Fortnight
The sixth British Food Fortnight will run from 22nd September to 7th October 2007. It is a huge celebration of the diverse and delicious range of food that Britain produces and of the wonderful culinary heritage of the UK.
I think that this is a perfect excuse for food bloggers the world over to share their favourite British dish, try a new one or to try some new ingredients and tell the story behind it.
To Participate:
UK Bloggers: Cook a British dish with British ingredients, the more local to you the better.
Non UK Bloggers: Cook a British dish with local ingredients, being imaginative on any substitutions that you may have to make!
Post your recipes on your blog during the fortnight, linking to here, and I will do a summary of all the wonderful British dishes out there, and their global variations.
Once you have posted your dish please e-mail me bff07@fussfreeflavours.com.
- your name
- your location
- the name of your blog and its url
- a link to your post
- a photo of your British dish

sounds great - i will put my thinking cap on...
What a wonderful idea! I'll definitely be participating... I have a great idea for tomorrow's post!
I am not sure that I understand it right: For me (I am German) nothing is more British than scones with clotted cream or any kind of pudding. Is it suitable to participate with a treacle pudding or this dish?
Hi Mrs W,
I am looking forward to your entry. Many thanks for taking part...
Ulrike,
Anyhting British, or anything that makes you think of Britain is perfect - Scones are very British esp wtih the clotted cream!
